The greenhouse horticulture sector is experiencing a decisive period. The energy crisis, but also government policy, underline the urgency to become more sustainable. The documentary 'Gas Erop?: De Glastuinbouw in Transitie' shows how five different growers from the Westland are preparing for the future. We see that the sector is still heavily dependent on fossil energy. Are the current climate objectives realistic? And is there still a future in the Dutch greenhouse horticulture sector? The documentary will be broadcast in its entirety by Omroep West and as a three-part series by local broadcaster WOS.
